Poverty in Italy: analyses and proposals

The economic crisis has caused a general deterioration in the economic conditions of families. This resulted in a decline for all poverty indicators and an intensification of disparities in income distribution. This conference provides an opportunity to reflect on how poverty has changed from the pre- to the post-crisis period, and on the most suitable tools to support families at risk of poverty and social exclusion.

Nicola Sciclone, head of the research unit “Labour, Education andTraining”, will present the report “Poverty before and after the crisis”.
